A few years back I spent months and real money with developers who turned out to be a disaster — postponed meetings, delayed and broken features, endless scope creep, and no real direction. When it was over, I was still beholden to them for every fix and change, paying to maintain a site I couldn't touch myself.

So I decided enough was enough and learned to build software myself. Combined with my project-management experience, I started Magic Genie with one purpose: help small and mid-size businesses that can't stomach the insane costs and lock-in that big developers charge.
